The clinical research shows that there is almost no benefit to using special lice-killing shampoos, as they only kill the adult and newt stage lice. Those little critters can be just as effectively removed using the proper combing techniques.

The “nit”, or egg stage of the lice cannot be killed by even the prescription medication. They must be thoroughly combed and picked from the hair.
